When an electric stove won’t ignite, first ensure the stove power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the appliance power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means some other part will have to be fixed. The reason for the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.
A stove or burner or oven without heat does not do much good. An oven will not heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner does not fire up when an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We know how to repair these common issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.
It is safe to assume the control board on a stove is broken if the timer or program settings do not work. In this case, we can replace control panels for LG, Sears, GE, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We offer a warranty on control panels and manufacturer parts we need for this oven repair service.
You want a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it might be because of a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen are able to identify the cause of the problem and then fix it. Just be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat source.
A common stove issue is when an igniter will glow but doesn’t light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine if we are able to repair these parts or if we will need to replace the part.
Newer self-cleaning ovens sometimes experience door issues. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door will not open and then complete the repair so we can correct the issue.
